I like browsers. I like them so much I have loads of them, and often have more that three open at the same time like some big browsing orgy. One week Safari is my favourite another week Firefox will be my best friend. Sometimes I’m forced to stop using one browser in a session because the site I’m on doesn’t like my choice of browser.
This can cause headaches when maintaining your bookmarks, you want to find that site but you just know is bookmarked in Safari but you are happily surfing away in Camino, or there is a site that you are sure you bookmarked but have no clue to what browser it was saved too. So what can you do? Well for one you could use an online bookmarking tool like del.icio.us or ma.gnolia. But if you want more flexability in terms of organising your bookmarks into folders or do not want to share your links in a community minded way (perhaps you have some rude ones you sicko) then Bookit is one possible solution, and a good solution at that.
Bookit from Everyday Software allows synchronisation of your bookmarks across all your browsers. The application looks at the browser you’ve chosen to be your master browser and updates your bookmarks on other browsers to match your master bookmark file.
Bookit also supports .Mac so you can keep bookmarks synchronised across different machines.
