A German chap is claiming on his blog that he has acquired a version of iTunes for Windows Mobile.
On his site Daniel Kirstenpfad says that the software is running on a pre-release version of Windows Mobile 5.0.
‘Although it looks pretty complete (everything (except bonjour) is in place and even podcast sync worked like a champ) it’s not a customer ready version,’ he writes, ‘I don’t know anything about the release dates or announcement dates at the moment.’
It appears that Apple has decided to stick with the iTunes interface rather than the iPod’s. He could not sync with iTunes on a Mac or PC due to a lack of drivers but did manage to play 1 GB of MP3/AAC files on an SD Card.
‘When I inserted the SD Card iTunes automatically searched for media files and rebuilt it’s [sic] library. After some seconds I could start listening,’ he says.
