Apple introduced updates to the iPod family yesterday. Updates to the iPod include a 60 percent brighter display and longer battery life. The new iPod comes in two flavours, 30 and 80GB at £189 and £259 respectively. The longer battery life apparently makes the iPod perfect for watching movies out and about, with the 30GB offering three and a half hours and the 80GB delivering five and a half hours of movie playback.
Updates to the nano include an extended battery life of 24 hours with double the music capacity. The new nano is also smaller than the old and is available in five colours (no white).
The baby of the family the shuffle is even smaller than before, almost half the size and made from aluminum. The shuffle now connects to your Mac via a dock (included) rather than the old direct to USB method. Other features include 12 hours of battery life and a handy clip making the shuffle easy to wear. Still no photo support though :0)

Thanks AppleMad. My 3rd gen iPod is bricked. I may well consider the new 80GB. That shuffle is great!
