Ranchero Software have announced that NewsNetWire has been acquired by NewsGator Technologies, Inc.
Brent Simmons the developer behind the Mac RSS reader has also accepted a position at NewsGator.
Simmons said that the acquisition would allow him to focus his attention on improving the product (which is already great), instead of taking time away to focus on the business.
According to Reinacker the founder of NewsGator, NetNewsWire will remain around the same price as it is now. Existing NetNewsWire full-version customers will receive a free 2-year subscription to NewsGator Online as part of the deal.
Take a look at the official press release.
