Apple have created what looks to be the best iPod yet, packed full of great features in a thinner sexier shell with “video as a bonus”.
Ok so I was wrong when I said Apple wouldn’t release a video iPod, I spouted some crap about there not being a market for video on the go. Looks like I underestimated Apple.
“Video is the wrong place” Steve Jobs once said. Suggesting that he wouldn’t get Apple engineers to invest time and effort into creating a video iPod because of a lack of content available.
Apple seems to be making sure that a market exists for the iPods video capability by providing access to content via the new iTunes 6.
With iTunes 6 we can buy music videos, video podcasts, Pixar short films and the latest TV shows and download it to our new iPods. The first TV shows for download include Desperate Housewives and Lost and are available at a cost of £1.89 ($1.99) per episode.
